The Sea
The focus of Rock life is the long sandy beach that lines the Camel estuary. Fishing boats, dinghies, wind surfers and catamarans all add to the busy charm of sea side activity.

Water sports enthusiasts are spoilt for choice here. Sailing, wind-surfing, swimming, water-skiing and canoeing are all available from the beaches in and around Rock.

A 10 minute trip across the estuary via the Padstow Ferry connects Rock to the ancient fishing village of Padstow.

Golfers can choose between a splendid selection of quality 18 hole courses including: Bowood (Camelford), Landyhock (Bodmin), Merlin (Newquay), Roserrow (St Minver), St Kew, Trevose (Padstow) and St Enedoc (Rock).
Cyclists
Cyclists can exercise their enthusiasm by hiring bikes to transport them and their children between Bodmin, Wadebridge and Padstow - along the Camel Trail. Why not consider cycling from Wadebridge to Padstow, stopping for a quick bite (try the mussels!) at Rick Stein’s quayside takeaway and gently peddling back in time for tea.
